Parenting is definitely not for cowards!
So sorry to disappear. This past one month has been a hard one. We have been trying with little success to make Tanay do things our way. Trying to get him on to a schedule, trying to get him to sleep through the night, trying to get him to take the sippy cup for milk (he will drink water out of it)!!! Trying being the operative word.
He now has us on his schedule, makes sure we get up with him every night and has us drinking out of the sippy cup. Literally! I read yesterday that since babies mimic us, parents should drink out of the sippy cup and he will soon follow suit. Dhawal and I now drink everything out of the sippy cup. I also happen to have a sippy cup store at home. Every brand, every type.
Oh I almost forgot to mention - Tanay started walking. I was extremely disappointed when he did not walk by his first birthday considering he was a very early crawler. But 3 weeks later, he just got up and walked. While I am ecstatic to see him take those small footsteps, somewhere there is this bittersweet feeling that he is not a baby anymore. I will definitely miss those days of my boy being my baby.
